I'm coming home from Lagos, Nigeria to LA December 20th and I'm bringing with me a handful of canvas paintings made by local artists. They are not stretched, and need a frame. I'm looking to trade for prints on canvas (11x14 or larger) or paintings as well. I can't take anything paper because they most certainly will not survive the conditions here.
I'm bringing back a stack of CDs from different artists. Its mainly Naija pop, which is like they took raggaeton, they made it their own, through in some local dialects and pidgin english. Its really fun, and super easy to dance to, kind of like they had in mind that everyone would have a drink in their hand as they were dancing. I put a video at the bottom so you can see! Tomorrow I'm going to the MTV African Music Awards, so you if you can catch that, it will give you a good idea.

In terms of Vintage Funk I'm told the only way to go is Fela Kuti, which I am bringing with as well. However, I don't think a trade or any form of barter is in order for that.
