I stumbled upon this band on youtube...if you're into the Bon Scott era AC-DC, you will dig this record. here's the write up on this band on the video below:
===
"It was a tragedy when we lost Bon Scott back in 1980. AC/DC's front man will never be forgotten. When it comes to the band '77, I believe Bon Scott may have been reincarnated as '77's singer, Armand Valeta. Not only does Valeta sound like Bon Scott, but his brother LG, has the Angus Young style of play down to a science. '77 has been able to reproduce the sound of pre-80's AC/DC almost perfectly.
Some may argue that '77 is nothing more than a clone band, and perhaps they are. When a CD rocks as hard as 21st Century Rock, I could care less. '77 doesn't sound like a watered down tribute band. These Spanish rockers completely nail the hard rocking sound of AC/DC. This is the type of music that you immediately want to crank up, and play as loudly as possible.
21st Century Rock has a bunch of fun tunes including, "Big Smoker Pig", "Your Game's Over", "Double-Tongued Woman". I can't get "Big Smoker Pig" out of my head. It is insanely catchy, even if the lyrics are somewhat silly. Did the band write this song about a Barbecue? One may never know.
If you are a fan of AC/DC, you owe it to yourself to give '77 a chance. There isn't a bad song on this CD, and it absolutely rocks!"
