This week we ride the only way orphans can.
"The Friends of the Friends of the Friendless"
We'll ride seeking out other random strangers on bikes and make them our leader! Follow them, at whatever pace, until we reach THEIR destination and voila! instant friend!
Bringing extra beverages will guarantee loyal companionship.
...Let's see what happens...
This ride will actually be a variation on the ride, called The Friends of the Friends of the Friendless. The concept is to launch a PRE-EMPTIVE STRIKE ON YOUR FRIENDS before hand. Call them, over-friend them, force them to ride their bike with you for this one night. Call all of your current friends. Tell everyone, even if they DONT ride regularly. Pitch it to them. Tell them its a social experiment. They'll get it. We need a huge ride. Its for your own good. Trust me. Don't use guilt-trips (until necessary). Tell everyone, tell everyone, everyone, tell them!
This will be the recurring Cubcamp Level One Party Ride.

You should note the title, FAST OF THE FASTLESS. It is our intention to scare strangers, spooking them into scattering like cockroaches, until they reach the most unforgivable speeds. Per the last two rides, they typically top out at 25, hold for 90 seconds, burn out, and thats when we strike. At this point, they will still have the adrenaline to claw out the first 2 to 3 Cubs, but of course this is not always the case, as some of The Fastless have been able to take out as many as 8 Cubs. No vouchers. Then we drink their blood etc cubvampires etc vaginatesticles etc sarcasm etc.
my non bike freinds are full of it!!! :::: sigh:::: Can we do a friends of the bikeless "bike in" where we sleep on their cars untill they ride w/ us!? I will spare you... it wasn't pretty. I begged. =(

Cubiez need an internal memo that explains what ‘friends of the friendless’ is. Maybe written in the bottom of a beer can. I had to tell four (!!) people that “I’m sorry, I guess we’re not going to ride you homeâ€. I felt like an ass.
I can't decide what the highlight of my night was. Either the (very)underage, (very)intoxicated girl on the Promenade insisting on giving me a hug or the plate-sized pancake I made when I got home.

i was on the fucking Big Slo Bus today for a fucking whole hour, I can't wait to ride. I'm never not taking my bike with me when I leave the house. I know it's a level one, but I may have to spandex up and just run circles around the whole group.

how long do you guys ride on a thursday night? is it a 2 hour or 3 hour ride??? the distance is undermined? just want some info since i will try to make my first cupcamp ride
I'm having dinner in weho at 7pm and hope to be out by 8:45. If you guys can, don't leave until 9:30 or else I can try to call someone on the ride to find you guys......I have Tomato's number only....
i hate that everyone who was supposed to go with me to see tokyo police club tonight at the hammer is ditching me for cubcamp. and i'm too fucking slow for cubcamp. :(
I can't make it out tonight....have fun though. This is my favorite ride besides Sins n Sprockets...I'll be in Silverlake packing up posters that my girlfriends store sold...they were featured in DOMINO magazine this month and they sold A TON OF POSTERS. check out the poster here:
epic ride tonight.. we picked up some crazy campers and rode them home and then Lewis who brought us all bottled water -- he ROCKED !!!

nah but the friday/sat rides attract a lot of drinkers etc. some are a little too rowdy. we don't want to scare the people we're trying to make friends with.
plus santa monica critical mass and ride arc are this friday
I was planning on leading (with everyone else) but my throat is soo swollen and red that I can barely swallow. I took the afternoon off work and I'm resting so that I hopefully don't have to take tomorrow off.
I think everyone will leave probably around 9 10 but I cannot say for sure.
Have fun, be safe and make new friends! Drink if you want to, but don't be a danger to other ridazz and potentially new ridazz by riding like a drunken idiot- that's all I meant by that whole thing. There is nothing more annoying than having to ride more defensively than we already have to with traffic on the road
aw yay!! i wish i could be there. i think i'm immune to ibuprofen because it's not doing anything for me. i can see my swollen tonsils just by looking at my neck in the mirror. luckily i have a kickass neighbor that is giving me every remedy and tea she has. she's also going to cook me chicken noodle soup! i have my humidifier ready to go and i hope i can ride tomorrow and saturday. a day without a bike is torture. very depressing.
WTH I went on cubcamp and all I got to do is sit on Erocks fast ass for 2 hours and climb some POS hill forever to get up to the goddamn Hollywood sign.
