front of the library, broad daylight, on sunset.
i can't get around, and I have to pay rent, so I can't really get a new one for a while.
Does anyone have a back wheel, for a fixed gear (I rode on a 17 tooth hub.)
I'll be your slave for a day if you want to save me from me gimpdom. I swear.
Thanks in advance!

Thieves don't seem to be doing this out of necessity, more of like they're now just doing it to piss people off it seems.

on a related note
I see a lot of nice bikes at SMC with their front wheels not locked in any way even though they're quick release.
it makes me wonder

Is that the Masi that you got from Howard at Athena?
If so, give him a call. Tell him your situation and see if he has spare rear wheel he can lend you until you can pay him for it. The guy is cool, he will work something out with you.

liz and i saw you with your bike at the civic center (i think?) redline station on saturday around 1:30. you were sitting there next to your bike reading a book. we were on the train going to union.

call howard and see if he has a wheel or take the bus to work. you live and work downtown. it shouldn't take you that long. dash is only $0.25. Metro is only $1.25. http://socaltransport.org/tm_pub_start.php
will help you figure out the bus schedules. Also, I'm sure we can build up a loaner bike for you out of the scrap pile in the back. Just let me know.

Dont fall victim Play smart also be on the look out for a white van that escorts these chumps around for the taking. Have a pen handy for license plates and camera if poss for identifying. We MUST step it up .
This can't go on any further, Unity is the Key. We are a Large Community, lets catch these little Chumps.
