I'll be trying this out very soon. Thanks to those no-good donut eating cops harassing me about my lack of a light (stolen @ a rider's party)

No doubt that light is bright...
Except for one thing...
I carried a G2 surefire while on duty back in the day. It ran on two 3-Volts at 60 lumen strength. Those two 3-volts provided about 60 mins of light at 60 lumens.
I'm going to assume that Modded light would have the same longevity. Great if your going to be riding in the desert, mountains, or wherever there is no light. But for riding city streets...I'd go with a knog. The knog will have a way longer battery life and is much smaller.
Not to mention 3-Volts are VERY expensive.

You have any recommendations for battery supply stores online? I have one that I found, but haven't dealt with, http://www.batteryspace.com/ They look like they have what I need. I have a MiNewt X2 light and I'm trying to find a battery pack/charger for it. I've been going through a shit load of sites looking at different battery packs, and the only ones that look promising is the batterspace.com I posted above.
Regarding your comments, yeah those batteries get expensive if you're not buying rechargeables and using them all the time.

I don't know of anyone online that sales something that specific...except for the site you posted...and I've never worked with them nor do I know whether they are legit.
I would tell you to try a local electronics shop...but that will involve quite a hunt since its such a specific item...
I checked the niterider website and they seem to stock the batteries, but I'm not sure if they are exactly what you are looking for or if they fit your price range...

Well I found another, http://www.all-battery.com/ I think I'll have to pay a visit to my o' online buddies that play with electric bikes and see what they can tell me.
I just thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks for responding.

this is kind of retarded, in this day and age you can buy a decent led flash light for under five bucks at most liqueur stores.
I got like ten of them floating around my house

Those 3v. 123 batteries are over $4 EACH in stores in LA. I've been using them since the mid 1990's.

How long will you be able to run the eveready light w/ the new bulb? Won't the housing start melting cause it's plastic? I'm sure while riding... the wind should cool it but I wonder how much heat it puts out. Cool mod definitely. I like Kipkay's vids.

Good post, that light looks awesome for less than $10 tfunk.
I'm taking the way out like someone else did, and say I just report on what I read, I don't actually stand behind it. LOL
Also, has anyone seen that Performance has the Planet Bike Superflash Taillight for $20? Cheapest I've seen for it.
