I'm a member of cyclecide. I used to do events with them years ago before I had the shop. I have even got them gigs down here in LA, they live in SF. Getting them down here would be great but it takes money and their crew is hell on wheels. We even did a show once for the city of SF and drilled holes right inthe street in front of the Mayor to set up our rides!
Well, damn. Turns out I'm stuck in a play from the last weekend of May and deep into June which will suck away all my Fridays and Saturdays - (Yeah, I clearly wasn't thinking before I committed.)
I'm going to keep my eyes on Cyclecide's schedule of events, and I will figure out a good weekend in late June or throughout July for us to go up. Otherwise one of you make it happen before then if you want. Marcus, you got a van now. We got a trailer to tow bikes. We might have to carpool a couple extra vehicles depending upon the interest. I'll get back to you all on it.
I talked to Justin and Paul (th'plumber) recently about what it would take to get them to l.a. and the answer was somewhere around 3500 and a good big place to do it. They love doing shows down here but it is an expense and expenses have to be covered.
