Anyone who takes the time, money, and weight penalty to put together an all NJS bike, and then puts risers on it is an idiot.
This is more of an LAfixed discussion.

honestly, who gives a fuck? do you seriously have that much time?
it's not like the njs bike is going to be used for some better purpose or sometihng. at least it's getting ridden.

Its all about being comfortable and obtaining that sweet sweet street cred.

That much time to do what, write a sentence on the internet? If so yes I have way more free time than that.
My point was there are cheaper, lighter, and or stiffer alternatives to things with NJS stamps.
But was I even being serious, who knows, probably.

I didnt know you could buy street cred. I'm gonna start saving my pennies today...

nobody buying njs is buying it for performance anyway, which is why whatever stupid bars they put on is even more irrelevant.

my complete bike weighs less than a keirin frame.
110 spaced hubs are a joke.

Yeah, unfortunately, that's what LA fixed is all about.
Could be worse, it could have pictures of shitty bikes ridden by a mob of drunk hipsters complaining that their bike got jacked for using a cable lock or getting a ticket for running reds, or got hit by a car for going down the wrong way of the street, or veiled racist/classist rants on other "bike gangs" for not riding "smart/using shitty parts/stealing bikes/having bad grammar".
F.U.N!
But ya, do what feels comfortable for you, if it means putting risers on an NJS frame, painting your generic fixie some godawful colors, or hacking up your bike to become some hipster polo/tall bike that cries for attention.
Remember, it's about having FUN! and running around like a herd of yammering chimps! ANd smoking dope!
Fun!
Ridazz!
Yeah!

Unfortunately, no. I'm kind of a one hit wonder here. but hey, I call it like I see it. It also seems to elicit a response from you, so maybe it's a really good guitar riff.
However, I gotta say I'm flattered that you jumped in right off the bat. It's kind of eerie.

Yeah, imagine two people being on the Internet at the same time. Fucking uncanny, that.
Anywho, we can at least take some comfort that this forum and LAFixed have something in common, to wit: you're a tiresome, hyperjudgmental scold there and you're a tiresome, hyperjudgmental scold here. Really, now, can you not at least change it up a bit from time to time? After three years, we denizens of both fora pretty much get that everybody who disagrees with you is a racist, sexist, !@#$?phobic adolescent male who listens to nu metal. Come up with a new angle, please, if only to put to rest my nagging suspicion that you've written a program in BASIC to make your posts for you.
In conclusion, wash my nuts.

You're on Bikeforums too! What a small lil' world we live in!
Maybe you could do my BASIC program a favor, and you could write up your own program to counter mine!
.... Or maybe you already have.... duh du duhhh!
Get some gears, brah!

Small world, indeed. Three sites! You'd think we had some sort of pastime in common.
Listen, old bean, I don't mean to trample on your aspirations or, y'know, stifle your self-expression or anything. I'm sure your "H. L. Mencken of the streets" act goes over well at the bar. But, this being a text medium and all, and one with a marginally less woozy audience, you've got to understand that people here (and there, and there) can remember what you say from one instance to the next, and they can tell that you keep saying the
same fucking thing every single time. Really, that's all I'm getting at. All right? Right? Right.
Ride on, fixie brother. You big maverick, you.

Righty-O, old chump. I'm glad to have someone like you let me know that having a consistent, albeit boring message to parlay to the buds on fiberspace, is a total waste of time.
Mayhaps I should attend an institution of higher learning and such, so that I may lord myself over others with a larger vocabulary, name drop literary figures, and drop uncommon words, to establish my Empire of Biker Cool over the lawless Bicycle Forums that pepper this land. Maybe switch up my message a little more, so that people could like me.
Ride on!
