Some young, dumbfucks that would probably serve a better purpose on an Arizona chain-gang.
If you catch them doing that shit again, pound them and make an example out of 'em.
Their parents were probably drunk or high off their asses while raising them anyway.

i mean, if we are out standing around in parking lots drinking and smoking (im guilty of this too) then it sort of gives the impression to these kids that we do anything and everything and its ok to get away with this stuff. policing the doors to the stores making sure they dont do this stuff has worked in the past, so why not continue it?

breaking the law it totally and completely fine with me as long as you don't do something to jeopardize the ride for everyone else.
I will be sure to kick some ass next time I catch them.
if i see them at a ride, I'm going let whoever leads it know what business the kids bring with them

Back in the day if my mom or stepdad ever heard or caught me stealing, they would've dropped me off buck-naked in the middle of Death Valley and left me there.

bring your own booze and don't stop at store. or post up at a park and tell people where the store is around the corner and make them go by themselves. kids feel like they can hide within the group when the group's at the store.

Inevitably we will break some laws, BUT breaking the laws that will get us banned from stopping at our favorite places or ruining the ride for everyone sucks. You know how those idiots can ruin a person, don't ya?
Tagging and destroying stuff at our stops will eventually have those places locked or patrolled heavily by law enforcement.
Stealing from stores gets us banned from returning to those stores( we have already been banned from three stores due to incidents of a few - thanks a lot few :(
Break laws that don't hurt the community like running a stop sign or red light with no cars in sight. Don't break laws that will inevitably lead to our demise. (and I do think that corking can be ok done in a proper positive ways)
RBI, I know your just trolling, but is speeding in a car the same as committing hit and run on a cyclist, everything must be taken into a matter of degrees and common sense.

if you want to think that every post i make is a troll post, then thats your prerogative (bobby brown), but comparing a speeding car to a hit and run is like comparing the country of japan to the carpet in my apartment.
there is no grey area when it comes to breaking the law. its black and white.
cyclists that run red lights and stop signs and act as if the rules of the road dont apply to them give all cyclists a bad name, so how can you say that doesnt hurt the community?

There are totally grey areas when it comes to the law, that's why there are judges. If the law was black and white then everyone would be a criminal, but that is not the case in the real world. In the real world, if you do not make a full stop and put your foot down at a intersection while on a bicycle the general consensus of the population would not classify that cyclist as a criminal. Now on the other hand, shoplifting a television from Best Buy would have the general consensus of the population thinking that that person was a criminal. How about stealing a loaf of bread to feed your starving family? It is the same as stealing a beers to get drunk with the homies, right? Wrong.
Remember the guy in Texas that ran a red light to get his wife to the hospital before her father died?
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/6343765.html
He broke the law by not coming to a complete stop at a red light, so why is everyone in that city's government not rallying around the officer's decision? Why, because of degrees of the law.
There are definite degrees and circumstances when approaching the law, the law is not black and white, there are changes in the law every year to accommodate the general population.
How can it be said that running a stop sign at a empty intersection is the same black and white principle of breaking the law as stealing goods from a store owner and depriving him of goods that he has invested his money into to make an income to feed his family?
Please educate me, because everything I hear and see about the law points to that everything is NOT in black and white, even when dealing with government and law.

Xlarge has a great point that I agree with. Law's are not black and white, nothing in this world is.
But back on subject I think the answer is public shaming; shoplifting, not holding your line, not leaving the left lane open, all these issues could be easily solved if EVERYONE who witnesses the perpetrator calls them out on the issue.
I read lots of complaining about such things on these boards but don't witness much public shaming on the few # of rides I'm able to make it to.

POSTING IN TROLL THREAD:
Anyway, can I propose a new policy?
YOU: Witness asshole on ride steal something and attempt to run out
YOU: Alert everybody, including cashier if he hasnt already noticed, whats going on
YOU: Pull out ya camera, somebody elses camera, multiple cameras, cell phone camera, pencil and sketch paper? and get a picture of previously mentioned asshole
YOU: Having the first picture of its kind, start the new gallery ''RIDE THIEVES''.
Yeah?

That's great if there's one or two of them. It's a different story when there's 10 or more. We've had pretty good results watching people going in and out of the store. Plus someone is inside keeping an eye on things.
I plan on giving the cashiers a heads up if I'm solo and there's a bunch of them.

On last Friday's LACM ride I held several riders backpacks while they shopped. It made the supermarket security and manager happy.
At another supermarket, the manager was going to call the police because of a 'funny smell' outside. I discussed it with him and diffused the situation.
THe only way to keep stores happy is to do similar things, have several monitors and talk to the security folks first. It's a shame but needs to be done!

I agree, and its best to do the door-watching as non-covertly as possible. If they know somebodys going to be eyeing them up as theyre leaving the door, theyre sure as hell not going to take anything. Having it as a suprise really wont prevent anything, just have us more prepared to catch some dick stealing. I dont care what anybody does on their own time, just dont steal on a ride damnit.

i say, if they steal from stores, ridazz etc.. we each take a piece of their bike, i.e. a crank, the chain, brake pads. etc.. :)
if they want it back, they got to either pay for it the easy way or the hard way :)
