This is going to be a really tough show but I feel everyone needs to hear it. It is unfortunate to say that this is the reality of what could happen every time us, as cyclist, do what is required by law and ride the streets.

Charges were filed on December 30, and Stephanie Segal was arraigned last Thursday.
She entered a not guilty plea to two felony counts (gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated; hit and run with injury).
She is also currently admitted at a rehab facility in Malibu and ordered not to leave without permission from the director or the court.
Next court hearing is March 3. She is ordered to be present.
A copy of the court docket can be found at the link below:

thank you for the sleuthing and update DJwheels! EVERYONE who rides or just reads this for that matter... it is our community duty to make sure that this case does not just slip through the cracks and that this woman is brought to justice for her careless actions. Do you think that a 4 year sentence & some rehab is TRULY enough rehabilitation for someone who finds themselves able to: not only drink and drive but also hit someone and then leave them there to die!?
