My bike was stolen last night between 5-7pm on Cole Ave. between santa monica and melrose in front of the Gold's gym.
Its a TALL 62cm Cream colored Surly with a matte black front fork- 120cm neck- bmx pedals, with a Specialized split center seat.
The U lock was cut with bolt cutters - I can only assume it wont travel very far.
I am 6'7"- so whomever tries to ride it out in public will be visible- unless they alter the frame color. Even still, this is a pretty unique bike and I would GREATLY appreciate any and all the eyes an ears I can have the aid of in finding my bike.
I just purchased this bike within 2 weeks-
I am offering a reward to the location or person who might connect me back to my bike.

I know it's frustrating and downright heartbreaking to get your bike stolen but please post only one thread for your bike, there is Also a gallery
section on the site. Please do not post your stolen bike to the calendar. That's for rides. Thanks

Can you describe the circumstances of the theft? That will help people learn how better to protect their bikes in the future while at the same time keeping this thread alive. It's rare that a bike is recovered but it has happened. I'm tall too, I'll keep my eyes peeled. Check craigslist the thieves are stupid enough sometimes to post stolen
bikes.
