So i got contacted by someone from the San Francisco Disposable Film Festival and theyre interested in bringing it to Los Angeles this year. They really want the Midnight Ridazz to get involved. Here is their website http://www.disposablefilmfest.com/ and a little blurb
"Selected by MovieMaker Magazine as one the country’s “coolest film festivals,” the Disposable Film Festival was created in 2007 by Eric Slatkin and Carlton Evans to celebrate the artistic potential of disposable video: short films made on non-professional devices such as one-time use video cameras, cell phones, point and shoot cameras, webcams, and other readily available video capture devices. The DFF offers a forum to celebrate the creative potential of this new mode of filmmaking through screenings, competitions, and other events to showcase the best work within the disposable genre. Based in San Francisco, the Disposable Film Festival travels internationally to Paris, London, Brussels, New York, Beijing, and other cities worldwide."
In prior iterations the community has gotten involved by hosting a ride and submitting to the film festival itself. people have also brought their arts and crafts to the festival to sell/raffle/give away. We have a huge DIY community so I am sure everyone can contribute something
The date of the event is August 21 and it will ride out from Crank Mob Park at 7:00.
Let's all get involved somehow

Hi MR,
I work for Globe bikes, and we're partnering with the DFF to bring this event to LA. Cynergy is one of our dealers in Santa Monica, and they have agreed to host the screening in their parking lot. We would LOVE to get more people involved with this event, though. If any of you are artists or filmmakers and would like to add your own touch to this event please feel free to contact me. I really want to support and promote what you all are creating down there. I have a budget to get some schwag created, and I'd love for one or more of the artists/designers among the MR to work with me on that. Let's start with the DFF screening, and then add some LA flavor to it.
