the only reason he got caught is that:
a) he bragged about it to the wrong people
b) he foolishly sought covert auto body work with out of state parts explaining that his wife had hit and and run on a "parked car".
c) $11,000 reward

its depressing that it takes a REALLY stupid criminal AND a lot of luck to get any justice in a case like this.
