 After test riding several fixies so far the Urbis by Redline is the only fixie I would consider buying...and that's saying a lot coming from me "the beach cruiser girl"! This thing is amazing, the acceleration took my breath away. They have them at The Flying Pigeon bike shop in Los Angeles. And it's beautiful too.

 I rode that exact bike at TFP and it was between 500.00 and 550.00. I really think it's worth the extra hundred bucks or so. I'm not a fixie rider, but this bike surprised me and stood way apart from the others I've tested out. Joseph is the owner, he had about five of them left.

I would test it before buying anything else, if only for peace of mind.

 Disc brakes are not needed in LA or on a street bike.

Poorly adjusted brakes are a source of a lot of sales for disc brakes.
