Post deals and cool new bike parts here!
So as many of you know, i now have a job in west la at a bike shop, "BIKE IMPROVE". I'm getting the owner to gear more of his products towards riders like us as opposed to the roadies and hardcore mountain bike jockies.
SO - Here are some things i think ya'll should check out. Not that i'm trying to market the store on this site, but rather cuz there's some good deals and neat items.
EVERWEAR TIRES - by Soma -$37.99
5mm thick rubber for fixies. 3mm thicker than standard tires.
Last more than twice as long!!!
Spok Micro LED Headlight - $9.00
These things shit on the 'Frogs' Velcro attachment and much brighter as well.
Chainbreak (heavy duty) - $5.00
Pedal Wrench - $7.00
Chain Whip - $7.00
Those are the things that have caught my eye (and that i am purchasing too)

Tend to agree. It's a discussion board about bikes. And since it pertains to them and isn't just marketing, it seems ok to discuss good deals on the stuff we all need.
I do like the reverse caps idea. All caps except for the stuff that's meant to be emphasized. Still annoying to the eyes, but slightly less.

I dont think there's anything wrong with posting personal bike items for sale.... richie is a known member of the ocmmunity he's not some marketer and he's not starting a bunch of threads... it's all good....

yeah, it's for a shop i'm in every day... but if i were at helens or performance and saw a good deal, i'd post those too. The things i listed are just one offs.

Thats what I mean. I know plenty of peeps on here that have or still work at bike shops and not once posted anything related to COME BUY CRAP!
Sorry about the caps. I think its easier to read sometimes because the font in here is a little small.

i really don't feel like arguing over this topic
All i know is that i'd rather know which shop has something the cheapest. Hence why i only listed the 'good deals'. I don't care if people buy shit here or not. i get the same paycheck either way. I'm tryin to help my riding friends out.

This guy isn't just trying to spam the boards and get people into his shop. He doesn't own it. I don't care who you are, if you know of a good deal on something bike related, i think you should share that info here. We are a big-ass family and I'd want to help out any of my relatives, however i can.
On the other hand, if one of my siblings or parents were friggin' nuts and video taped themselves singing with sock puppoets on their hands and were trying to push shit in an inappropriate way, then i totally agree with you Parlor.

you rock! thanks for the heads up as i am in WeHo for work during the day and sometimes i need a bike shop to hit up on the way home - i always think i gotta wait till i hit my shops in Venice where i know the guys - but it's great to know there's one right around the corner!

I don't want to point fingers at any one person. I just find it hilarious how many posts for 1-3 items keep popping up. Then all of a sudden the ride discussion threads are pages off the front of the list.
