i know some of you ride bikes with engines, too, so i wanted to give you guys a crack at this stuff. The prices are what i posted on craigslist, bike friends will get a discount, of course.
Used but well cared-for motorcycle equipment:
Two HJC full-face, relatively sporty helmets. Plenty of scuffs on the paint, but neither has been in an accident. Face-shield ratchets still work fine, both helmets have vents above and below the visor. Red is a medium, blue is a small. $50/each or $80 for both.
One Tourmaster Cordura (textile) jacket in a men's small, red and black color. I'm somewhere between a 38-40 chest size and this fits great. Plenty of vents and pockets, removable liner, removable CE armor (better than dual-density) in the shoulders, elbows and lumbar region. A little dusty/dirty from sitting around but otherwise in near-new condition. A great jacket for the summer when it's just too hot for leather. Lettin' it go for $80.
One Firstgear leather jacket in a size 40, black and silver. Again, the usual plethora of vents (which work great, especially for leather), CE-certified armor in the elbows, shoulders, and lumbar. This jacket feels great, looks fantastic, and is in near-perfect condition. I did go down pretty easy on the left shoulder of this jacket once, so it has a tiny bit of road rash which i tried to take a picture of. Hardly even a cosmetic issue, this definitely doesn't affect the performance or safety of the jacket. These run around $400 new, I'll let this go TODAY ONLY for $160.
One pair of 'SPIDI' carbotech racing gloves in black, white, and a sort of hi-viz orangey-red. Incredibly badass gloves. Kangaroo leather palm, kevlar inserts, carbon fiber armor over the three outside knuckles. Look and feel great. Sized for someone with hands every so slightly smaller and chubbier than average, but only slightly - if you got ham-fists, these won't fit. They are a little dirty but otherwise in great condition. These run about $160 new, you can have them for $50.
