Santa Monica police. Bicyclists claim they
are being unfairly targeted; the police contend
the riders should get a permit if they
are going to clog up city streets every
first Friday of the month.

"So this week’s Q-Line question asks:
Are Critical Mass riders flouting the
city’s laws or should the police work with
them to help promote bicycling in the city?
Call (310) 285-8106 before Friday at 5
p.m. and we’ll print your answers in the
weekend edition of the Daily Press. Please

 Dude, I finally read what the SMDP wrote in their weekend edition call-in thing on SMCM. I wish there were more bikers represented there! Damn. (I called in, but I didn't make the cut.)

I love the guy who wrote "Assume the car has the right of way because you'll come out second in an accident." So it's "Might makes right," is it? OK, Mussolini. I suppose he doesn't pay any attention to anything but car traffic that's bigger than his, because he'll come out second in that accident. He better drive a semi.

But I hope he drives a Mini.
