Fender Factory Tour?

I was reading an article in the LATimes on the Fender factory, California and the history of Fender guitars, and was thinking that this would make an awesome bike trip out to the factory. Looks like it would a 70-80 mile round trip out there. It would have to be a summer ride and start pretty early if we're doing a factory tour too. I haven't looked at using the Metro Link, and I'm thinking the ride can start at the end of the Green Line station. Just was wondering if anyone has any experience going out there and what's the deal with factory tours? Anyone interested in doing this in the spring or summer? Any feedback?
