I finally applaud an LA Times article that does not make me cringe. It rather seeks to promote greater understanding of why we, as cyclists, do what we do. Props to the author (Hector Tobar) and the editor for allowing it.

Yep Comments are standard fare for the Neanderthals that believe driving is a god given right. I lost faith in humanity a long time ago but we can pray to the borfo gods can't we.

I agree. This is one of those rare articles about bikes that we rarely see.
And screw all those old whiny crotchety gas guzzling yahoo freaks who have no compassion for anyone not behind the driving wheel. All those haters can do is spew their ignorance about the rights of cyclists and their bullshit taxes argument which is UNFOUNDED.
I do think we collectively need to obey road rules more intently, but those trolls need to pull the stick out of their asses and try having fun and ride too. Fuck those guys!!!

Here is a quote from someone I respect that helps me to feel better about all of this venom from trolls -

In the same LA Times issue that features a plea to accept cyclists on our roads, there is an article about how FAT America is getting because on the average Americans are getting less and less physical exercise.
