 According to the Geneva Convention, mercenaries or private soldiers have no rights. They can be tortured or executed on the spot. Since they are not fighting for a particular country but for money, they are not real soldiers.

 I have mixed reviews regarding this company.

The positive thing is that many of the employees are either ex-military or law-enforcement, so they already have a high-level of training ingrained as it is.

The negative aspect is that they take on the role of "Dog-The Wannabe US Marshal", and have little-to-no rules of engagement set up.

 It's really bad there I guess. Nigeria does email scams and Somalia does piracy. If the market demands a service that governments are not providing, then private industry will step in.

"The International Maritime Bureau (IMB) said on Thursday that 63 of 199 incidents of piracy worldwide recorded in the first nine months of this year had taken place off east Somalia and the Gulf of Aden. This was double the 36 attacks blamed on Somali pirates out of 198 worldwide in the same period last year, the bureau added."
