Ride: 5:30 PM

I just put up a post.

(Sorry Pier pressure and Unite the masses for the conflict on the 11th. This is the only time possible to do the metric before the full 100 mile ride on the 25th of August.)

 stoked bout this ride.. hopefully ican get work off.. is it a fast paced or medium paced ride? i have someone whos interested in tagging along.. but doesnt know if she'd be able to keep up..

 From my experience, there were packs of people who created the pace that worked for them.

You had the people in the front, ridazz somewhere in the middle, and then others who were sort of struggling but put in a valiant effort.

If your friend can't ride a metric century (or doesn't know) it would be inadvisable unless she's a strong rider who is ready to challenge herself.

You should come if you can though, the route is really nice.

 If your friend can ride 40 miles comfortably she will have no trouble; she'll just be a little more tired. If she maxes out in the 20-25 range it's not going to be pretty...

 I would like to go, but I'm not doing it on a fixed gear again... At least not with the raito's I'm running. Two metric century's is enough to know I need a bike w/ gears.
