Hey all, I'm working on behalf of a commercial production company that is filming a Dickies WEB commercial. The Script calls for 2 Tall Bike riders to joust. The director is world class commercial director Dante Ariola. Full disclosure, he is a personal friend and I am getting paid $300 to find candidates.
This ain't no Jared Leto "get paid with a PBnJ and a Red Bull for 14 hours of work" shoot. The pay is $550 for the day plus $1250 buy out for web and if the commercial goes to air you will be paid SAG residuals which can be pretty nice money depending on the market the commercial is shown in. If the ad goes to print you get another $1250 buy out. You will be insured for any injuries.
Please send me a pic of you with your tall bike and face shot plus name and number. I'm looking at you LOS ANGELOPES but anyone interested should apply ASAP. I've gotten a few responses from facebook status but the more the better. Your "gang" name will NOT be used in the commercial.
The work may qualify him for SAG membership, but then there are the dues:
To join SAG, a performer must pay an initiation fee of $2,277, plus the first semi-annual basic dues payment of $58. Thus, the total fee to join is $2,335.

Answer I got was that you are allowed to do 1 sag job and collect all the money without becoming a member. So if you are not already a sag member and you get the gig you don't have to pay the dues until you get a second sag job.

I just...ummm... want to borrow it to...ummm...help people.... around the city... you see, i just have a soft spot for lady's with cats stuck in trees all the time (so darn sad at times), and I just want to donate some time removing dry leaves from rain gutters (those damn fire hazards, why? why?)...
I wont need it until about June 5th, and unfortunately I can only use a really dope tall bike setup... i know, i dont understand why either; just how it is I guess.... anyhow, think about it and let me know.
I'm not in LA, but everyone involved be prepared for the Black Label dudes to be all like "UR STEALIN BAYK KULTUR!!!! NOT 4 SALE!!!!!" and to throw eggs at you and somehow manage to ignore you even more than usual next time you run into them.
I'm confused. the casting director filmed me and several other people at an angelopes ride and then contacted us to confirm our participation in the shoot. do we all need to re confirm with you?
Yeah I have no idea what's going on either. I got contacted about a month ago, didnt hear anything back till Wednesday night. They said they were working with a group in SF but it wasnt working out so they wanted me to get them people who ride tall bikes. I saw a list of people that said confirmed and a lot of you were on it. Maybe there weren't enough? I sent them a bunch more names and numbers and I slipped mine in there too haha Hang tight I guess. I'll hit up the producer and see what the deal is. PAUL. get on this! you got the look!
