I got the idea from Stilline's thread <------ over there...how about a TUBE CHANGING CONTEST on the next midnight ridazz ride?
$1 donations from everyone that wants to see a good contest...first to change the tube and 20 pumps of a hand pump takes all. could be fun...

inner tube blow out contest sounds good also, first one to blow out a tube using a identical floor pumps identical tubes,

Maybe I can bring my wheel whose tires readily comes off once the tire is deflated. Kinda dangerous but great for a tube changing contest.

Do it on an Angelope. And you can use only your clenched butt cheeks. No tire levers.

RULES SHOULD BE:
-700 RIM
-TUBE ALREADY DEFLATED
-ANY TOOLS ALLOWED (LEVERS, SCREW DRIVER, BUTT CHEEKS, ETC.)
-FIRST TO CHANGE OUT THE DEFLATED TUBE FOR A NEW TUBE STILL IN BOX. (WILL NEED TO BLOW SOME AIR IN NEW TUBE WITH MOUTH OR PUMP)
-INSTALL NEW TUBE AND TIRE ON RIM
-20 HAND PUMPS OF AIR. NO HOLES IN NEW TUBE FROM PINCH, LEVER TEAR, ETC.
-WINNER RAISES HAND AND TAKES THE $$$

I've got some wheels that are mind-bendingly difficult to get the tires off of. I mean, so hard that he first time I tried, I broke 4 or 5 tire levers and wound up hurling the wheel I was working on across the garage in a fit of fury. I would donate them to the contest, just to have the opportunity to watch someone else struggle with them. But they'd have to be nice to them. They are super pricey wheels.

everyone should have the same type of wheel then they can decide what tire they want to enter with. some are easier to take off than others....to make it even more interesting, the contestants can each toss in $5 along with any donated $$$ and then it would get a bit more interesting as the pot grows.....i can see this happening in a huge parking lot such as Trader Joes on Sepulveda or the grass at rancho park which we haven't taken advantage of yet....

you guys are for reals about the tube changing contest? man i suck at doing that if i signed up i would get last place! i'm depressed because i eat and and can't change a tube cause i'm fat......
