it's back after a 6-month hiatus...
THE NEW RIDE, THE ULTIMATE ADVENTURE RIDE
This, our 7th ride, is going to be absolutely epic. We're going to a store first, then ride straight to Griffith Park, where we'll ride up to the observatory. Then we continue on up, using a few trails and roads, to the top of Mount Hollywood. The view from the top gives you a 360 degree of the entire LA area -- from the tip of the valley, to long beach, to Pasadena, to Catalina island. This spot being our main destination, we'll have fun up there for a while, then ride allllll the way back down, through the famous Griffith Park tunnel and back down to into Hollywood. We'll stop for late-night munchies at pink's hot dogs and then return to the start at pan pacific.

Yes, this ride was attempted last in june but we got kicked out by the rangers because we entered the park after 10.... we'll be getting in the park long before then so we will have no trouble with law enforcement. just pure unadulterated fun.
dont regret missing this!

Im sure Im not the only that thinks this ... but .. this is the only time getting kicked out was so much fun. Bombing the hill from Griffith was fun.

it is legit as fuck.... and we didn't even make it half way up the mountain... imagine that hill except twice as long...

i won't be in town but this looks like a fun ride. i was actually going to do the reverse route tonight - hwood sign then observatory - but i called it a night after reaching the top and went to get food instead. that little dirt area at the top looks like a nice spot to chill at, but i wonder if the security guys would be cool.

people who want to meet us closer to griffith park may do so, we're stopping at the liquor market on hollywood and bronson, just call the number on the bottom of the ride listing. i should be bringing my bong for all of us to hit on the top of the mountain :]

weather forecast of upper 50's for tonight :D
be sure to bring some kind of outer layer for our descent down the mountain. it'll be cold with the wind whipping your face

smallest turnout for the new ride yet, 8 people, but it was still a great ride. only 5 people actually came on the full ride, 3 bailed at the observatory.
can the two people taking pictures post them up or send them to me?
