Well my court date is tomorrow for the ticket i got on OCT LACM -.- if u got a ticket by this officer named CHESTER plead not guilty.I didnt wanted to do the long process i just wanna face this on court like a man :) lol. Which i might lose but fucked it WIn Or Lose.

GregB. The City is not making money on the ticket. In fact, each ticket for a violation of the vehicle code that the LAPD issues costs trhe CIty money. The bulk of the money goes to the State and and County. The City gets a small kickback to cover the costs of the enforcement...but in reality it barely covers the cost of the officers time.
Sargent Krumer: I have a question for you regarding citations....
I fought a red light on my bike ticket last year and contested it via "written declaration" and was found not guilty. What is the procedure from an officer's perspective?
To clarify my question, I was not given a reason by the courts why I was found not guilty. What I have heard from various sources is that an officer is paid overtime to contest a ticket in court but not paid overtime to defend his issuance of the ticket via a written declaration. Does the officer have to submit anything in writing to defend his ticket? or do the courts weigh the defendent's "written declaration" of facts to come to a guilty or not guilty verdict?

oiler, you are really begging to loose this ticket. if you can, do use the process i suggested. if you don't win along the way, you will eventually meet him in court. by then he'll have forgotten all about you and you'll be able to actually mount a defense and embarrass the guy to boot. good luck either way!

oiler, write that you DID NOT do it. And something like they ticketed the wrong biker. the tbd is primarily a delaying tactic but you can also win if the cop doesn't respond. you won't have to pay anything more than the bail amount. when you win, they send the money back. i don't know where you are in the process and if it's too late or not.

You should probably take the advice of these people and postpone it and beat it.
The cop is doing the same to you, obviously got it postponed without notifying you. so that you get fed up and just pay the court.
Ask Krumer to sign it off for you, friends who are officers do that kind of thing.
you really need to contest this ticket and go the whole 9 yards....
I'm currently fighting a seat belt ticket:
cited on 8/17/10
extended to 12/17/10
today received a court date on 4/4/11 to contest it. (8 months after being cited.)
in March, I'm gonna request a trial by declaration which will push it to 6/4/11
If i win, great....if I lose, I will request a court date which will probably be in August...
1 year after the fact....he ain't gonna show up and if he does, i'll still win cuz i have a great defense...

one thing that a lot of people overlook as well...if these citations go on your driving record and you own a car and pay for insurance, your rates could go up....until the guilty verdict is in the system, you won't have it on your record....drag that shit out.....

Indigis is right, do not be weak and try to "get this over with" Unless you play the game, they will hammer you. I got 14 tickets in one year, i figured out most of what Indigis is telling you on my own. I was able to only have 5 tickets on my record and I beat 9 of them! I still lost my licence, but it was WAY better than getting it hard from the Man! fight the fight!
also technicalities are a good way to get out of a ticket, sometimes they think they have their shit together, but the reports and surveys they call upon, have only a certian time frame they are valid for. Request the surveys they mention and if they cannot produce it during your time on the stand, they throw out the ticket. If they do show the survey, and it is out of date, the ticket is thrown out as well.
