Hello I am joining in on my first MIDNIGHT RIDAZZ next friday and was wondering if it is custom to ride back after you are done with your ride, or do you park your car at the half way mark of the route or park your car at the end of the route and bike up the course or is it all the above? Any clarification would be accepted with the deepest gratitude...thank you much

With the number of people that show up, you can usually follow several people that head back to echo park after the ride. People are generally friendly so don't be afraid to ask around after the ride and if you watch the flow of riders, you can usually tell when a group or a few are heading back. Believe it or not, at that time of night, most bikers were participants of the ride and you can usually follow the blinky lites back. Or bring a map. LADOT has pretty good free maps of the LA area available thru their website.

There are no customs. Everyone does it different. Note: the ride won't be starting at echo park and sunset this next ride.... So be on the lookout for the notice in ya email.
Nobody will look down on you if you drive there etc. We aren't haters we're celebrators... Oh.
I'm on a plane to nyc. Signing offf. Gotta turn my sideckick off. See you all laters.

yeah... you won't know where the ride is heading until you get there. A couple of us drove in one car and as we got closer to echo park, we'd see a biker here... a group there... cars with racks here. My first ride was last month and it's hard to describe. It's just something you've got to experience. Just don't "cork" or stopping traffic at intersections so no cars can pass on your first time out. The cars stuck in traffic can be quite brutal but a lot understand. The ride doesn't stop at red lights. It's easier to not be singled out by a cop for running the red when in the pack but just don't get used to it when you're biking home after the ride your first time out. I was at the head of the pack going into Ktown but when they made a left from 6th st. I helped out and ended up in the back of the pack. Serious though... I told the guys in the cars that were waiting for the bikes to pass, that it would be just 5 minutes.. but nope. 15 min later I'm talking to the same guy saying thanks for being patient. It's amazing watching the ride pass you by. You can't tell just how many people there are until you watch them pass. Some lady in Hancock Park came out of her house and said to their neighbor, "They're circling around us!" I was like... "Nope... that's just 1300 people on bikes." All in all... I'm hooked. Can't wait for this Friday... so for sure... Los Feliz @ Riverside Dr.? Closer to me... will ride in through Griffith Park. Sorry for the long comment. See you guys on Friday...
