Ode to the Wolfpack..

I wrote this as I was waiting for them to pass by. Sat there for about an hour and thought to myself, "shit, no rider ever starts on time." P.S. Otis Redding's "sitting on the dock by the bay" had just started playing. Here goes:
Sitting on top of the curb/
silently I watched and observed/
waiting for the moment the Pack would emerge/
11:18, still no MR's A-Team/
Had to pinch myself to keep from believing it was just a dream/
the weather was perfect, but kept getting colder/
but I knew the chosen few would be coming over the hill at any moment/
doing it for love, no money involved/
this was about SOUL and you ride for your own/
and then it happened/
like a mist from the ocean it came all of a sudden/
The Pack came steady and tight/
it seemed every last rider came ready for tonight/
This is the ride that will etch you into the LA Skyline/
nothing could stop 'em, not even a flat/
5 minutes flat and they'd have the wind right back on their back/
that's all for now....
