ATTN!!
I wouldn't even bother about checking that place out on alvarado.
All their bikes they have, they pay cash for from people who bring them in off the streets with no questions asked basicly...
I know this because my friend who had his cannondale stolen a while back,he was riding around and saw his bike out in front of the store as display and he confronted the guy and ran off and got his bike back.(yaihh!!)

"and saw his bike out in front of the store as display and he confronted the guy and ran off and got his bike back.(yaihh!!)"
So then don't you mean it SHOULD be checked out?

Maybe yes if the case is that you had your bike stolen might think that place could be a start to check for it,
But yeah my point is that is place is sketchy!
For example look at that great grammer, spelling on those craigslist ads!
Bwhahah

Studies have shown that even when the over whelming evidence shows that it is most likely to be stolen, online boards are apathetic at doing anything about it. So please refrain from posting up your hunches about a possible stolen bike.
Thank you.

@User1
Do what?
Unless the guy who owns it shows up and says "it's my bike" then all we can really do is talk about it.
If the guy who owned it showed up and said "hey thats mybike lets ride over there with 30 people and stand outside till I get my bike back!" I would be down to ride with him and make sure he got it back......so would a lot of other people on this site.
Until someone claims it, its just another thread about an allegedly stolen bike.

I got a better idea. Lock up your fucking bike like your suppose to and there would be no drama.

Or be like Allan and ride a bike that nobody in his right mind would want to steal.

If you have reasonable suspicion that someone or some business is trafficking stolen bikes you can report it to the police. It might not lead to anything, but cops aren't going to start taking bike theft seriously on their own, we need to nudge them.

The best course of action would be to form a posse off the books, commence retrieval mission, then post results here.

I had you at hello, and you know it.

ummmmm where do you say "hello"?
And yeah, part of it is riding a bike no one wants or few people can ride. Like an XL MTB, a weird foldie, or a road bike that's 63 cm, but I still lock my shit up!

When did I say "hello"? Oh...well, it was in a different thread in this one forum called Meatspace, back in 2006. I'll see if I can dig it up for you on the Wayback Machine.
