4/19 - Paint and Grill Art and Music Fest. in Sherman Oakz

Supposedly this is going down today.
I'll prbably take the Redline under the hill and ride out. from there.

04.19.08 - PAINT and GRILL ART / MUSIC FESTIVAL.
14515 Weddington Street. Sherman Oaks, Ca. 91411.
2pm - 10pm. Afrobeat Down set at 5pm. Between Burbank and Magnolia.
Cross Street is Van Nuys. LIVE ART. LIVE MUSIC. GOOD FOOD.

After much googling the only link I could find is on the Afrobeat Down website.

From what I have heard this event will be a free street party with food (presumably for sale) and life aerosol arts known to you hoodlums as Graffiti and some live music.

I'm not sure if there in any connection beyond trying to overload all the senses at once, but if you like funky live music I definitely recommend checking out: AFROBEAT DOWN.

ABD is a 8-12 piece band that plays Afrobeat (mostly Fela) covers and originals. The music is tight and funky with live improvisation built into the songs. This is great music for dancing!

Last minute, I know,... but if you are just fluffing away at your computer, it may be a worthwhile adventure, tol get out on your bike and have some fun. Especially for those that live on the hot side of the hill.
