I know it happens here and there that things come up but it's always kind of sad because you just know that people will show up for a good ride idea. I would like to suggest that before anyone out there decides to cancel their posted rides, to attempt to hand it off to anyone who might want to take it over. just post on the message board and see if people are still into it. that Skirball ride seemed kinda fun....

I apologize for my lack of vision and consideration. I am regretful that it did not even occur to me to keep the ride up there and see if anyone else wanted to take it on. I appreciate that you put your thoughts out there and I will be broader minded and more aware of the community in the future. Point well taken and lesson learned.

As far as future Skirball Concert rides go I was contacted by the Guest Services Manager, Matt Thompson, at the Skirball. This is part of his message: " I decided that I should get in touch with you to make it work as smoothly as possible. I actually spent about an hour today trying to figure where I was going to park your bikes if you turned out to be several hundred strong a la Midnight Riddaz.

So, if you change your mind and can rustle up some friends, I have a space for you. If not, at least I have a plan for the next time a group of bicyclists show up.

If someone wants to take on this ride another time I suggest contacting Matt.

The concert series is continuing through the end of August on Thursday nights so there is another opportunity to have this ride.

Not to excuse my choices but to offer an explanation, I am moving to Humboldt (14 hrs up the coast) and my landlord suddenly rented my unit out from under me. I hadn't yet found a place to live up there and I just came back from a week long unsuccessful home hunt. I came back to LA Monday morning frantic b/c I had finals all week and thought I had to get back up there immediately after to keep on the search before I was homeless with my 5 year old. I was so anxious about finding a place for my son and I that I go overwhelmed with the idea of carrying out the ride. As of 20 minutes ago, some of the connections I made while in Humboldt may have come through and I'll know by the end of the day if I secured a home. Yay! If that comes through I'll have a few weeks left in this unit and I won't have to be out by Sunday. If all goes as planned I would be happy to assist in collaberating this ride again with someone else.

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and I thank you for speaking up.

wow. you dont need to apologize at all for cancelling your ride. handle your biz absolutely. what a thoughtful response though. I hope someone decides to take this up! good luck with your move!

Yo Road Block,

I posted a ride for Sunday the 29th called Hollywood hustle. Someone deleted it. Also, I posted a link to a japanese crash that was deleted.

Am I doing something wrong or has someone hacked my login? can you see who and when the activity happened?
