Midnight Sponsorship - The Matching Fund Challenge!
Earlier tonight, a highly placed source in the Horsemen of Mid-Wilshire Bicycle Gang informed me that Eddie "GOpez" Lopez has not yet gotten all of the funds necessary for a Midnight Ridazz sponsorship of his participation in the Waves to Wine benefit ride for people suffering from Multiple Sclerosis. The source informed me that he is within a hundred dollars of meeting the goal. If he meets this goal, he can do this ride with a Ridazz skull on his jersey.
This has got to happen.
So here's what I'm going to do. I will match, dollar for dollar, any contributions that you make to this Ridazz sponsorship between now and 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 8.
Here's how it works:
1) You send your contribution via PayPal to Gopezrides4ms@yahoo.com.
2) At some time after noon on Wednesday, Randy or Eddie announces here on the board how much, in total, was collected during the challenge period.
3) I make a donation equal to the amount collected during the challenge period.
I know you probably have some questions. Luckily, I've anticipated them:
"Is this only for people you know?"
Nope. I couldn't care less who you are. Donate to that PayPal address between now and noon Wednesday, and I'll match it.
"How do I know you'll really do this?"
Because I just told you I would do it. You calling me a liar? Huh? HUH?
"Isn't there a possibility that there'll be more money donated than you had counted on, and you'll still have to match it?"
Yes. In fact, if for some reason you don't like me, now is your chance to make me look like a jackass
and cost me some money! And it's for a good cause, you prick!
For serious, guise, it's less than a hundred bucks to close the gap. Give what you can. It doesn't have to be a lot. And whatever you give, it will be like you gave double. OK? OK.

PC (Russell) Thanks a million for what you did and thank you everyone who helped make it happen. To all of those who have made donations thank you so much. More than the excitement of getting MR logo on almost 50 jersies (well that is just awesome) there is the certainty that this is going to a good cause and that is to fight and treat MULITIPLE SCLEROSIS as well as to educate, empower and aid those with the disease. Some of the people whom have donated either have MS or they have a family member who either lives with MS or has died from MS. Those stories and those donations mean the most to me of course and it that is what makes me feel good about what I am doing and what many of you are helping me achieve. Thank you all for your generousity and your excitement. I invite more of you to join this ride and magnificent charitable organization and enjoy this beautiful ride. Danny Sukko (danny gamboa) and i are the 2 MidnightRidazz representing from L.A. this year, hope more of you can join us next year.
Let me also thank Feeling Randy (Randy Cruz) for her phenomenal help and efforts in helping bring this about. She set up the pay pal account for me and helped pump you all up to donate the first time around. I also want to thank Danny Sukko (Danny Gamboa) for his phenomenal help and efforts in bringing this about too.
