Spoke(n) Art?

Hey, I notice that this Saturday is the second Saturday of the month; isn't that usually the Spoke(n) Art ride night? Is it still happening along with all the other bicycle birthday goodness?
Or am I confused?

If there's Spoke'n Art this Saturday, then there are 4 overlapping rides. Options are good.
But, which ride will the core elite be at?

I'll sure be there.... No kidding... so many options but I do like the art and wine!!

Spoke(n) Art Ride - D World Destruction

The Ride: The Spoke(n) Art bicycle ride is a free, once-a-month, bicycle tour of art galleries in North East Los Angeles. The ride takes place on the second Saturday of each month - a special night in North East Los Angeles. Area art galleries open their doors late into the night as part of NELAart’s “Gallery Night”.
The Spoke(n) Art Ride will begin (as it usually does), at the flagpole on the corner of Figueroa and York Blvd. in Highland Park.
This month’s ride is going to bring the Spoke(n) Art Ride back to its after-party roots: pinatas, kiddie bikes, bike racing, some beer, a lot of fun.
The details are being worked out, but we’re basically going to have a birthday party/parties, along with the Spoke(n) Art Ride, converge at the Oven sometime after 9:30 p.m.

Oh crap!! Beard Pressure... Katie and Randy's... The Goonies... so many options!! Man... remember like summer 06 (when I started) when it was only like MR ride on the calendar? Man... this is amazing...

When confronted with a variety of choices such as this, I find all my ethical pondering to be for naught. Such situations! Why must a man be presented with such a variety of splendid options and be expected to decide!

Well, i, being from Bahston, have the added conundrum of the Patriots playing and a Saturday morning ride to add to the overwhelming dilemma of this day.

I get the feeling my last Goonies ride will be small.
Remember - I'm leading this Goonies ride on a route that has no liquor stores. 90% of the ride is through dark and quiet places like the LA River Bikepath and Griffith Park. It's gonna be a leisurely and dark ride.
The nice thing about Saturday is I think every ride will have a different vibe to fit your mood that night. You have the Cops And Robbers birthday party, which should be a fun party ride. Spoke n' Art which should let you feel artsy and cultured. And Goonies which will be quiet and relaxing. So, whatever mood you are in - that's the ride you attend.
Honestly, I'd LOVE to go on the birthday party ride myself! But, since I'm hosting Goonies, I plan to be cruising the bikepath with the 10 other people that might show up.
(Watch, I say that and we'll get 150 Ridazz...)

No shame in canceling the Goonie ride, and postponing it to another date when more people can enjoy all the work you have put into it.
The birthday's fell when they did, and the Art ride was decided along time ago. Why not, and maybe just maybe, I too can enjoy a Goonie ride.too.
For everybody else that is torn.....
my experience on days packed like this (especially the day after a big night ride), is that I end up going to what I can get to. If you start early in the day, chance are you will be tired half or 3-quarters of the way through the day. Do what is best for you and enjoy your day. This bike riding stuff is our pleasure playground, no need to be a glutton, and no need to feel bad for missing any rides. We are fortunate for having so much fun at our disposal.
anyway, these rides will be just a bunch of Core elite types.

Nothing wrong with following through with what's sure to be a great just because something else fun is happening at the same time.
Overlapping rides are bound to happen more and more, and it's a great thing. Imagine the day when people in all parts of the county won't need to travel lots of miles to get to a fun social bike ride. To me it's part of the process of
relocalization.

i have no idea what that food was on the table, but i see i have to learn about it, thanks Sam, foods not really something that I've ever taken pleasure in, seems I'm kinda "rough around the edges" I EAT BECAUSE I HAVE TO, LOL.
