IAAL•MAF: MepTRic Centurionz Ride

Among its variety of group rides held during its couple years of existence, your tirelessly sporadic and almost completely fictional IAAL•MAF has searched for the Black Dahlia, stormed the Griffith Observatory and brought you along for its memorable Ten Bridges trek (long live Merrill Butler!)
Coming up next, the IAAL*MAF has gone large in notching one last group ride for 2008 and the ninth in our ongoing series of spinvitationals -- this one promising to be Epic in scale + Metrically centurion in distance = MepTRic. Starting and ending at Silver Lake's Silver Sun Plaza we will head through downtown and over the 6th Street Bridge, following Whittier Boulevard across the far eastside to the San Gabriel River Bikeway that we will then take south to the shores of Long Beach and work our way back to the L.A. River for the return trip downtown.
Course route: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2366204
DATE: Saturday, December 6, 2008
TIME: Gather at 12:30 p.m. for a 1 p.m. departure
DISTANCE: Roughly 65 miles
You have been warned. Plan to attend or avoid accordingly.
Notes:
• Once we're all back up in downtown there are plans to have eats/drinks/merriment either at Joy Mart in Little Tokyo or Spring Street Smokehouse in Chinatown.
• Halfway Bail-Out option: Don't wanna commit to the whole ride. Join us for the roll to Long Beach (about 35 miles) and then catch the Blue Line back to downtown.
