All CityToy Ride: Arrival Time

The
ALL CITY TOY RIDE is taking place on 12/12/08.
We will have rides coming in from all corners of the Greater LA area.
In years past the rides converged in downtown at 11pm (with start times in distant places as early as 8pm) the question is, should we meet earlier? 10pm has been suggested.
The advantage of an earlier arrival is that people in distant places will be able to stay longer at the after-party before their late ride back home.
The disadvantage to an earlier arrival time is that Ridazz from further out ie LB/ SGV will have to meet as early as 7pm.
also Keep in mind that the Redline (but not the blue or gold lines) will be running until 3am.

RIDAZZ, PLEASE CHIME IN:
SHOULD THE TOY RIDES CONVERGE AT OLVERA ST. AT 10pm or 11pm?
reply
10PM
I'm leading the westside ride and it's leaving at 8:45pm sharp...maybe 9pm. that's more than enough time for us to get there by 10pm...it's it's decided 11pm, we'll just have more time to socialize at olvera street.

especially since its worked fine the last 2 years ;-)
My vote is for 11 ... but lets see what the other ridazz have to say.

Any time you say a time for something, in Midnight Ridazz, it equals thirty minutes later.
e.g.
start time: 10pm,
In reality: 10:30pm.

the reason it took so long to leave from olvera st last year (i think it was more like 45 mins) was that we were waiting on long beach to show up.
Its not necessarily going to make it any easier for the longer rides to show up more punctually if we are asking them to be there an hour earlier.

Hopefully we will have good news from Farmlab. How long they will allow us to party will also be a factor.
If there is an early shut down ... it will be a good argument for an earlier meetup.

In 2006 we didn't leave Olvera St until late, like 11:30pm.
Last year was perfect, it was much earlier than 2006.

10pm. LB can get it's collective asses together and roll earlier. Last year we had one person slowing us up on a MTB. And no, it wasn't me! If this happens again, we can point them to a blueline station.

YESSS.
All City Toy Ride (as all Midnight Ridazz Rides) is open to ALL Ridazz.
If you are here that means you. Even if you aren't here but you have a bike, that also means you.
Either way. You are invited.
How About some more feedback?
Unless there is a massive push for 11pm in the next few days the 10pms have it!

If User1 says he can get there by 10pm that's good enough for me . . . and besides, I need to get home early to take my Geritol.

Last year I rode up with the Long Beach crew.
I had to chug my (free) beer and rush back to catch the last Blue Line, at 12:40 am.
So I am all in favor of an earlier meet-up. I didn't have enough time to party last time.

Rollers ... I'm happy to bring some to the party if you'll stay out late with us!
