ROUTE TO SAN DIEGO

Hello..

Was wondering if someone could please hook me up with a route from LBC to San Diego..I tried searching for it but couldn't find anythin. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Its pretty simple actually. If you google "bicycle trip LA to SD" you will find all you need. Pretty much follow the coast and stay on PCH. You might want to take the route through the military base. A bit longer, but not so worried about getting plowed in the rear... Argh! At least by a car...

i just mapped one out for myself so i'll go fetch it and let you know. it involves going through a military base (the coast bike route to san diego follows through it) so keep that in mind

Just so you know - They will not allow you to ride through Camp Pendleton without a helmet and a state I.D.

I have always just ridden the fwy from The base until Ocean Side. It is exciting, and not as dangerous as people make it sound. You can legally ride the 5fwy from those points, but you have to exit at all exits, and it's really noisy.

If I have time I'll post a good SD route, but somebody will beat me to it.

this route goes from the traffic circle to the DTSD amtrak station. it takes you on the five, then takes you around la jolla/mission bay instead of going through it.
