santa clarita?

anyone actually ride up here? besides the fixed gear riders that meet up at the pavillions [ my roommate went to this once and was like " i've never seen so many unused bianchi pistas before. " ]
anyway! i want to ride more up here, because it seems like it never happens.. anyone want to ride up here at all?
come on, santa clarita definitely has some cyclists.. i mean, art school central. come out of the woodwork already.

ps i know theres newhall bicycle that does their rides.. but those rides tend to be mountain based.

I was always kind of iffy about rides going on in that area.
Never knew about any particular schools in there, though.
Aside from having Wally Worl...er Magic Mountain and a weigh station there, it seems to be the outer fringe of the LA-metro area before the 5 lurks out through the Grapevine, up into Nebraska.
Looks like we've both got work to do in order to start some type of sizeable, non-spandecked, bike-scene in our respective neck-o-the-woods.

I work up there, off Ave Scott and something.... but me and another guy here both live in Burbank and work here so we have a couple of people to roll with if you wanna try and get a mid-week, after work ride going. He just built up his fixie and I have to soon since my roadie is back in Michigan right now. Just pick a night and I can either borrow a bike from my work or someone.
