4th street bicycle blvd. survey

Hancock Park residents are attempting to block crosswalk lights at rossmore/4th and highland/4th. They are a bit misguided in thinking that blocking this will save their neighborhood from traffic. the fact is, that the more signals and lights along a stretch of road the more likely that cut through traffic will avoid such a street.

Stupidly biased language, but I checked the middle box--in favor of stoplights.
And I added a comment in the box that I'd like to see stoplights AND barriers that prevent cars from entering 4th St so the entire neighborhood can have a truly vibrant street that all walkers and bikers and enjoy.

i voted for lights at both locations
so many times i have seen traffic on rossmore and/or highland backing up, pedestrians and cyclists having to wait a very long time to cross on 4th., sometimes even crossing through the slow or barely moving traffic which could be pretty unsafe to do
personally i no longer ride on 4th., it's a pretty messed up road as far as the street being in a state of disrepair, add in the stops signs and lights and it's just slow for me, i used to do venice to cochran to 4th to vermont to the purple line, now i'm just doing venice to main to china town station and i wound up shaving about 20~30 minutes off the commute by avoiding 4th.

I wasn't sure what to say, so I voted for lighted crosswalk option. But, now I'm not sure if street lights are better. I guess the point is to create a voice to go for something rather than do nothing. Right?
