Have you heard "John and Ken" those obnoxious anti tax, anti immigrant, know nothing radio hosts on KFI?
I go to their webpage
http://www.kfiam640.com/pages/johnandkenshow/ and smack in the center is all this bike stuff. An MS charity ride and a campaign to get rid of potholes.
OK it's not them doing it. It's their producer T-Rae who is the bike nut. But it just shows that one can be "cyclist" and work for über right wing republicans at the same time. How can this person sleep at night? How can you fix potholes if you are radically opposed to taxes?

Marino...I've heard about the bike content on this radio show before...maybe it was from you. It's funny that, as you say, the content's impetus is the show's producer.
Didn't they have a bunch of content about the Mandeville Canyon incident? If I remember clearly, this is the subject that introduced me to the existence of this show....I think I listened to a recorded segment about bikes...but that is the extent of my familiarity with the show.

My favorite part of that screenshot is the caption "Arnold signs the budget... How will it effect you?" Correct word usage is apparently not their strong suit.
But man, wouldn't it be great if bicycles were totally uncontroversial and non-partisan? Maybe politicians would start treating cycling like actual transportation rather than merely a convenient punchline. Who knows? Maybe shit would actually get
done.

No I haven't posted about them before but I remember reading here on MR that KFI covered the Mandeville Canyon case.
I remember when they first came to KFI from Florida about 10? years ago. They always liked to yelp about politics and they knew nothing. They didn't know the difference between LA City and LA County, Assembly and Senate. Rush Limbaugh is like a college professor next to them. Then they got obsessed with the anti-immigration topic and it got too boring to listen.
Their favorite target is Republican politicians who "sell out" and occasionally vote with the Democrats.

Aren't these the morons who publicly encouraged drivers to try to run motorcyclists off the road a few years back?

I understand John & Ken did great radio rebel rousing when they had a radio show in New Jersey. They brought up the states comprehensive budget. That is a big deal if you have any idea what the difference between the financial budget and the comprehensive budget. Look that one up and see what you find. Very telling facts.
As for now, they feed a yahoo friend of my his anti-immigration fodder. I'm amazed that people think that poor immigrants that work for less, get public benefits and where conned into loans they couldn't afford are the reason we are in a economic mess. John and Ken help solidify this myth. I have heard them from time to time. They are a bigger waste of time then bad tv.

actually, i heard a report just after the mortgage debacle: home loans to illegal immigrants were statistically less likely to go into foreclosure by a significant margin.
it's just racist propaganda promoted by partisan communications networks like ClearChannel.
