Wolfpack Hustle presents: The Midnight Tandem Bicycle Drag Race
The Rules:
*Men’s and Women’s division.
*2 persons form a team
*Team members will race single speed in single bike qualifiers
*The average of the two team member’s individual qualifying times will determine the team’s qualifying time to compete in the Tandem Bicycle Drag Races.
*The top 8 qualifying teams in men's and women's divisions will race in elimination rounds to determine the winners.
The Prizes:
Fat gear Prize bags and Dog Tags will be awarded to the winning team in each division.

Tandem Bicycles will be provided for use or you can bring your own.
High quality Tandem Road Bicycles will be provided for use or teams may bring their own tandem bicycles. The winners will be awarded prize bags and dog tags NO ENTRY FEE shall be required. This race promises to dazzle the eyes. www.wolfpackhustle.com

Here's an Idea.
We could have some sort of official mechanism to keep the geared bikes single speed.
Not everyone, including me, has access to a single speed bike..
We could have a judges at start and finish that tape the shifters, with easy to break paperish tape. So, if anyone changes gears....they would be DQ'ed
not good for pics/ vids.....but a whole bunch more peeps would race.

Well, if we disabled shifter bikes to one speed. it would be easier for non-brake shifer bikes to keep them at one speed. The deal is to just take the shifter cables out at the shifter end.
If we did it this way, we would probably be supporting the bike shop maintainance peeps....at least for some riders.

Racers would have to decide what ratio they want before the race!!

I just had this awesome idea for that EZ-1 I was trying to get rid of, but not so sure anymore.
Attach a two-wheel, chariot-like, thingamobob to the backside.
Affix the handles of an "elleptical" to a drive-chain attached to the two-wheels on the chariot-attachment.
Voila!! "RecumBariotTrike!!"
Top Speed:Depends on operators.
Now all I need are some torches and baling wire.

hey franz quit being lame and enter the race. single speed is so that the competition is evenly determined... What we're going to do is look into the idea of having multigeared bikes but you will be required to race in the highest gear possible and not shift. I dont know maybe tape the gears. thats the best you're gonna get.

BTW.... I have like 454 Portland Pics I never posted...YIKES!!! Borfo and Jeff were appalled that I hadn't. be on the lookout.... the good ones will be up soon (ish) ;)

That thing is super cool! I want to build up a sidecar bicycle to go with my sidecar motorcycle. I figure a recumbent bike stuck to the side of a tandem would be about perfect. Kind of like a sideways tallbike. Now I just have to find some frames.

we changed it up. we are going to do tandem only qualifiers.
so we will provide some tandems for use but we also encourage people to bring their own tandems and for anyone kind enough to loan theirs for use we will offer special gifts as a thanks. we will also have mechanics on hand to help adjust seats and to help with repairs and adjustments.
