i went riding yesterday morning and got caught under the rain.... my brooks saddle got wet and now has a very faded brown color... is it damaged? it felt pretty good this morning... is there something i can put on it to make it look better again...
also, i am looking for one of those computers that informs me of the speed and distance i have traveled... i think i have seen some that appear to be wire-less... do you guys know where i can get a good one, budget under $75, actually the lower the better....

I really like it... wireless and quickly removable.
I have some extra proofide for your saddle if you're on the westside, we can recondition your seat.. or just buy some proofide online or at a bike shop.. that should bring some luster back to your seat, hopefully.

mink oil works just as good as profride and is available in shoecare sections of markets. put the saddle under a lamp to get it hot , so the oil soaks in. I've done this many times with good results. good luck,

Be sure you oil your saddle properly or you could end up with doo doo looking stains on your pants.

doo doo stains are the new tears in hipster style jeans

do the bottom and the edge too.
That's of the saddle with the conditioner, not your hipster jeans.

I had an older Brooks (one of the machine made ones) in Portland, OR that got left out in the rain a bunch and always recovered after a few rides.

Sounds like I'm gonna need some doo doo stains to catch up with the rest of the crowd.

I was behind somebody last night on WP that got out of the saddle and had black stuff all on their ass. I think it was an improperly treated leather saddle.
