$$$ 4 sound syster repair

Our community sound system, that has been recently pulled around by our own LIMEYFLY aka Harry, is in need of some electrical repairs.
It seems that some wires shorted out. We took into a repair shop to have it diagnosed. The cost of repairs will be around $200.00.
The repairs include some work that will make the system function easier and more efficient.
I'm putting out the call, for everyone to pitch in a little $$$, so that Harry doesn't have to bare the brunt of the repair cost.
You can give donations to LIMEYFLY, either cash or Whiskey. (Harry could have paid for it himself but he has a Whiskey habit, he must maintain) PLEASE HELP !

I was thinking OVERTHEHILL could fix it, but they already took it to the shop, and paid $50 for the evaluation of pulling it apart and figuring out what is wrong with it. So they are just going to have it finished by this electrician.

EDDIE!!!!!!!!!
you were there when it dumped!!!! You could have taken it then and lokked at it!!! What happened, too much bowl?????????
I would have much rather had overthehill or boyinla take a look e loo rather than had the over priced electrical service man get his mingers on it........... WTF!!
Anyway I'll pitch in $50 and btw it's going to be set up so the same thing won't happen again. So pitch in your few sheckelados and keep big bike dan's music system blasting the waves.

Limelfy, I'll double your contribution just so I don't have to try fixing it myself!!!! That should put us well on the way to getting it fixed. What ride will you be on next?
An internal short, be it in wiring or anything else, can turn other more expensive parts into wire too. Finding a schematic diagram, finding parts from sources when the original manufacturers may be out of business, and dealing with unmarked "proprietary" parts -- not to mention the hours it can take to diagnose a problem -- all this makes me glad I no longer do that kind of work -- it was my first sumer job 34 years ago.
Back then, $50 was the minimum and $90 the usual repair charge, yet the guy I worked for was barely making ends meet.
So if this guy warrants his work for 90 days (that was the usual 34 years ago anyway) then it's probably a reasonable charge.

Sorry I had to bail a bit early but I had school the next day and all week till friday. I'm hoping the speaker is fixed by then.
I was given a $20 by one guy, thankyou!! and $5 from another, thankyou!!
We'll need to do a collection next big ride or something.
I want the speaker and amp to be bullet proof!! Maybe we can set up a midnight ridazz paypall a/c or something but til then the old hat will have to suffice.
Overthe hill thanks for the offer, I'm hoping that we can supplement the soundsystem with another trailer and connect via FM or something, more on that down the road!!

Hey, until the main-system is back up and functioning, will a Sony Xplode boombox, hooked up to a bigrig invertor, hooked to a car battery suffice?!?
Just throwing out some ideas for a backup system.
