Does anyone know these people? The Carson shooting happened at the beginning of the month, and the Pasadena shooting occurred last night.

Call me whatever for saying this.....Its August, for as long as I lived in LA, the craziest, most awful things happen between people in August.
My family would always leave for the month to go on vacation in August (also the slowest month of the year in the hairdressing business) and when we would come back, the stories where terrible. Personnal Crimes againist people and property, stories. August is actually the only time during the year that I would know people or it happened in my neighborhood that there would be any crime. August scares me to be here in LA in that month. Lets vacation in Portland for the rest of the month. Be Careful

Its hot, hotter then the rest of the year. The heat will mess with people minds. If the kids are out on Summer Vacation, it is the longest point of free time for them before they go back to school. It is also a slow business time of the year, so not alot of extra jobs for those that may float from one temporary job to another.

I did the Pasadena CM on Tuesday night and made it out alive! People were talking about Pasadena's new ordinance which requires riders to ride no more than two bikes next to each other. The city is apparently trying to deter the pack rides around the Rose Bowl . . .

now that a cyclist who should be _____, you know what where talking about.
IAmTraffic, it not August that is important, it is November, when you where conceived that is important. I see where this is going. What date is your birthday? Yes I'll buy you beers and good Mexican food.
Seriously, did it happen already or is it the 3rd Thursday of August,
that would make you a Thanksgiving baby. My B Day is Sept28, that means I was conceived around Dec 28th, Xmas/NewYear I like to think of myself as a Christmas Baby.
Yeah Joe, you go and get permission to get that Pasadena Critical Mass going. It right in your back yard.

There were 11 people at the Pasadena CM. Low turn out. I think the start time of 7 pm is just to early during the week. I told Jason to move it to 8 pm. We have a much larger turnout at the SFV CM because it starts after 8.
However, the real problem was that the riders were not occupying a whole lane and were riding in a pace line. I don't need to explain why that is a bad idea. We need to breathe some life into that CM.
