meeting up pre-rides

After reading through the posts on the Fetish Ride thread and on b.la it's clear some of the female riders, or would be riders bail on the rides because they don't feel safe - not during the rides, but before and after. Maybe in addition to official launch points some of the earlier locations could be publicized. For example I know that before Ridazz or RideArc there's often people meeting up near SilverSun Plaza or on Heliotrope then heading to the official start. Maybe the trick is just getting people closer to their houses?

My opinion: I think people (men and women) who have phobias are just going to keep having them.
One thing I love about midnight ridazz is I learn to let go of my Fear. Yes, It can be potentially dangerous to ride your bike at night, but so is driving your car to the supermarket for some bon-bons. I love riding together with people, connecting and feeling the adrenaline high of riding the streets while looking after each other. It's the best thing I have ever done. If some people don't want to get it, or they are too chicken, well, that's sad, but there's nothing you can do about them. We know how to enjoy life and ride together and let go of fear. It's the best thing ever. Too bad they are missing out. But you cant convince them. Let us LIVE and RIDE!

OK, but how did you learn to let go of your fear? Somebody had to teach you, unless you were born with the collected wisdom of Guatama Buddha hanging out of your ass. What's wrong with helping people who are interested in doing this, but are a little scared, to pull the trigger and give it a try? If satellite feeder rides are the way to do it, then let a thousand satellite feeder rides bloom. Right?

usually, people are "running late" or they "fell asleep on the couch" or they just don't feel like biking it this time. Also hang time after a ride before the ride home varies for everyone. I tend to split early.
But I make it a point to bike to the SFVCM each month and I'm starting to do the same for the CruzzWithUs/MidnightRidazz in NoHo as well. From the Canoga Orange Line Sta. (essentially my start point) its about 7 mi. to the CM and about 15 to NoHo, they're easy rides.
So, I'm always open to ride with others, let me know.
