is everybody ready for part 4 of the most epic party ride series evar?!?!?!?!

THAT'S RIGHT, THIS IS RIDE D. WHICH MEANS WE'RE GOING TO DEL REY!!!!!!!
yes, the NEW ride is heading to the beach. MEET IN PAN PACIFIC PARK AS ALWAYS.we'll be passing culver city on our way to playa del rey, where we make our first liquor+chill stop. then we ride around marina del rey (and hit up some spots you've probably never seen before..... no, not even on taco tuesday), eventually ending up in venice where we'll have another liquor stop and kick it on the the beach. THEN BACK HOME.
MODERATE-CHILL PACED, NO SMASHING OR RACING PLEASE! i'll let the speed demons know when we have a long straightaway for speeding, but it's your problem when you go too far and miss our turn.....
WE WILL RIDE ON SATURDAY JANUARY 23RD, IF ITS NOT RAINING! rain will postpone the ride to february 6th. i'll post the ride on the calendar when we have a clearer image of the weather this saturday. MORE DETAILS COMING SOON.

hahaha very funny. i just dont want to recommend he go to a ride known for people who steal stuff without warning him first. i shouldn't have told him it would probably happen, but you shouldn't take that personally. you can't deny stealing happens way too often on your ride, and unless you find a way to end or change that, it will be associated with your ride forever.
no need to spread negative images of my ride when i'm trying to start it off the ground though. you'll get plenty of people whether they know bad stuff happens or not. i dont want people to think stealing happens or is tolerated on my ride

hmmm.... i dunno specifically about dockweiler.... i believe they patrol and kick people out after closing time. plus the route i have comes out at just under 30 miles.... almost all flat but long enough that i dont want to add more. i'm gonna scout out our kick it spots for grills and other pits where we could make fires though.

BRAKES ARE NOT AS IMPORTANT THIS RIDE. we only have one real cool downhill we're doing but as long as you can skid you will be fine, at the bottom you sorta veer right onto the main road as opposed to 90 degree turns like last time so i'ts much easier and safer to finish the hill.

lol! skids are my emergency brake.. there's rarely ever a need to skid, unless you need to stop abruptly or you need to look cool in front of some hot chicks(beware ive seen people eat shit trying to attempt this)

She walked down everything and did the smart thing .. The other 2 people rode the singlepeed brakeless did it like champs... I still don't promote it .... after watching some kids dome bounce off the pavement after ignoring the warnings ... Yeah .. I kinda dont want to see that again ...

If you don't have someone reserving you a pit at Docweiller, you will have a hell of a time finding an open one on a Saturday night. The last time I went there we had people on the beach in the afternoon trying to reserve a pit and the best they could do was get some people to share one with us. That place is too popular / not enough pits. But awesome regardless.

I just dont get it? People make such a big deal about stealing and tagging on rides. To me if you are on a single speed with no brakes, that is ten times worse than tagging or stealing. You are jeopardizing peoples lives. Its one thing if you want to put your self at risk. But the more and more we see this the more people are going to start getting in accidents they cant avoid because of these idiots. Plus I cant think of any worse image for group rides than city officials and cops knowing there are going to be 17 year olds with major head wounds every time there is a ride!!!

HAHA Nice well your the only one so far that has seen me skidding sitting down one handed and that other guy who was folliwing me for a while trying to learn he saw me going down a slight hill one handed with a bottle in my hand and didnt stop following me till the liquor store lol

i 100% agree with you. it's unsafe for everyone. i'm gonna make it clear in the ride posting that you need some way of stopping (whether it be brakes or your crank) and if you ride freewheel brakeless you aren't welcome

damn! what a route! this will be stored and be redone for another ride at some point...... very proud of this one. great mix of roadways, bike paths, and pedestrain paths, along with many waterways, lagoons, lakes, marinas, oceans, and creeks. see y'all at the NEW RIDE TYPE E, coming march........ either elysian park or eagle rock or ernest E Debs park...... either way, will be FUCKING SICK... great ideas for both
