MONITOR PROBLEM HELP!

hey guys so my monitor on my DELL inspiron 1525 won't turn on
the computer turns on but no the screen
sound still comes from my speakers and the webcam works fine also
and when i plus my TV as a monitor it looks like my computer is working fine
its just the LCD monitor on it
its pitch black
it happen to my yesterday but it fixed idk how

Check the connection to computer....and check the power cable. Some monitors have a power cable that you can swap out. try another one.

sorry i forgot to say
its a Laptop
i pressed Fn+F8
nothing it just no external display attached

Its dead ... throw it away and start fresh with a nice brand new MAC ...

lol not dead it'll work ! somehow
i'm using right now but from TV
its not a bad set up but i can't be moving around with my laptop
anymore

the screen is dead, you can buy a replacement somewhere online

23" 1080p monitors are down to like $100 on sale. just buy a replacement. ffs

oh laptop, i see.
in that case, if i were you i would take it apart and make sure the monitor is plugged into the motherboard.
you are going to need: a bunch of tiny screwdrivers, a sheet of paper where you will note how you took it apart, and
this dissassembly guide for the inspiron 1545 from dell.
Follow the instructions for installing a new monitor and note carefully how the display plugs into the mainboard. Good luck.
