SMCM - call in
Thread started by Alex Thompson at 12.20.07 - 11:17 pm

Sorry to start another thread but that other got f*cked technically so you can't post on it anymore.

This from the SMDP - call in y'all:

From the Santa Monica Daily Press. An invitation to comment briefly about SMCM, just phone it in. Deadline Friday 5:00 PM (tomorrow).

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2007, page 5

"A share of the road
The crackdown on Santa Monica
Critical Mass bike riders continues by
Santa Monica police. Bicyclists claim they
are being unfairly targeted; the police contend
the riders should get a permit if they
are going to clog up city streets every
first Friday of the month.

"So this week’s Q-Line question asks:
Are Critical Mass riders flouting the
city’s laws or should the police work with
them to help promote bicycling in the city?
Call (310) 285-8106 before Friday at 5
p.m. and we’ll print your answers in the
weekend edition of the Daily Press. Please
limit responses to a minute or less."

Are people supposed to leave ther name or city?
Or do these things just run anonymously.
There arn't a lot of directions on line.

It's too bad we can't press "3" in our everyday lives and get a do-over every time we say something we want to change.

Dude, I finally read what the SMDP wrote in their weekend edition call-in thing on SMCM. I wish there were more bikers represented there! Damn. (I called in, but I didn't make the cut.)

I love the guy who wrote "Assume the car has the right of way because you'll come out second in an accident." So it's "Might makes right," is it? OK, Mussolini. I suppose he doesn't pay any attention to anything but car traffic that's bigger than his, because he'll come out second in that accident. He better drive a semi.

But I hope he drives a Mini.

but shit, even if you come out second, assuming you're not dead, you can sue the fuck out of them. and if you ARE dead, they get to live with it.
