Case for Separated Bike Lanes

 The guy's argument that "all you have to do is switch locations between the bike lanes and the parked cars" may be ideal, but seems super simplistic. While that may be a more feasible a solution in NYC, I can't imagine anything like that happening here in LA. Hell, the various departmental bureaucracies here make it so cost prohibitive and time consuming enough just to lay down a painted lane on existing roadway, can you picture what a standstill would result if the new plan was to start rearranging things?
