come on, stealing a bike rack?
take you racks off when you park for a while

and my bike lock is locked to it
so enjoy whoever came up on it. maybe you'll crash, and die

 It used to be really common to have entire racks stolen in order to steal the bikes locked to them. Then Yakima and Thule started making it possible to lock the rack to your car. But if a rack isn't locked or is only strapped on with fabric straps, you can steal multiple bikes in a well under a minute by just taking the rack and throwing it in the back of a pickup. Then you can get ride of the actual lock at your leisure in the comfort and privacy of a closed garage. People steal motorcycles the same way - just pick up the bike, toss it in a pickup, and drive away. Pretty much impossible to stop. Even if you see it in progress, if you are more than 100 meters away, they'll still get away, though you might get a plate number if they are idiots.
