So I've been looking around for work lately and a lot of employers require that you have a vehicle to be eligible for certain positions. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about the legality of discriminating based on transportation. It just seems like it should be illegal if it isn't already. I mean shouldn't all the tools for a job be provided by your employer?

 Riding a bike is not a disability or gay or jewish so it's OK to be discriminated upon your mode of transportation.

The prospective employer may ask you to bring your own car like he may ask that you have a college degree or be able to lift 50lbs.

But IF you use your own car in the course of employment then you need to be compensated for its use. The current rate is $0.505 per mile.

 I'm thinking you should just borrow a car for the interview, then take it from there.
If you get the position, work in it for awhile, and the boss becomes suspicious, just tell him/her that the car asploded after someone rear-ended it.
