im planning on meeting up at usc around 2:30 or 3 to ride the course when the streets are closed off. making it back to the start around the time the actual ride starts, and then just sneaking in and riding it again with everyone else. it was a blast last year. no one hassles you if you dont have a helmet or a bib number.

If I can get a Bib # to photocopy, entry fee is steep
Show up extra early to get in the front, there is usually a pack that forms at the front, and hauls ass. No prizes, just street cred.

do you know if its required to have a brake or helmet? didn't get a chance to check out the rules and regulations yet.

helmets are required if you pony up the $50 or however much it costs and register legit.
if you think riding with a bunch of drunk kids on crank mob is scary, wait until you get to riding in a peleton of 9000 (rough estimate) on beach cruisers and whatever else who have NO CLUE how to ride in a group. exhilarating!

Rev Dak had the idea that we make our own numbers with the MR logos on it. Your number would be your profile number. Mine would be 318. Why it is no longer 317 I do not know. (Somebody hacked there name at the top)
Dudes would be 9456 mattspeed would be 6218
Any Graphic artist able to set this up?

I came here today to post about this. Definitely doing the late night ride. Hopefully not wolfpacking it though.
If someone is cooking up fake bibs, I would like to get in on that! Otherwise I'll just steal the ride like I did before.
The turnout for this bike ride is usually estimated around 15k-17k I think. It gets fucking insane.

Last year it went right by my bedroom window...had slept in instead of doing it during the day...all the fast guys snuck by silently, it wasn't until the families and MR types showed up with their bells and shit that I even realized what was going on. it was fun to get up and watch the bikes go by...then i realized it was going to take 4 hours for them all to pass and went back to sleep.
