Welcome to the ride! If you don’t know anyone here, YOU SHOULD! This ride is a collaboration
between MoM Ridaz Bicycle Club (Mama)
and Corvidae Bicycle Club (Bird). This is not exactly for
beginners or freak bikes, but not a race, hardcore hustle, or smash ride. It is a No
Drop Ride, so as long
as you are not falling back to often, we will wait for you, and we always wait at the top of the big hills. Pace will
be
adjusted depending on the weather, attendees, and other factors. Expect to go at least 15-20 miles,
and more on the really nice days, if
everyone is up to it. Rides are every 1st and 3rd Friday until
otherwise stated. If you have not read the whole post before, PLEASE READ
WHOLE POST (at least
twice). Please see next section for the specifics of each ride.
WHAT\\\'S IN STORE FOR THIS
WEEK?
This is the real Friday ride. Not that Dr. Gears ride that doesn\\\'t seem to ever have
anyone there. If you actually want to ride or socialize,
this is the ride. We will investigate some points
south of us. Please stay respectful of the space, thanks for reading all the info, come see

~ We have fun, explore, go where we are and are not allowed, and going where no one knows.
~ It\\\'s not about \\\"catching a fade\\\", It\\\'s about getting “faded”.
~ It\\\'s not about
\\\"being Gangsta\\\", It\\\'s about keeping it O.G.
~ It\\\'s Not about getting \\\"fucked up or Fucking
up\\\", It\\\'s about the \\\"Oh, Fucccckkkkkkk\\\"
~ It\\\'s not about \\\"Jacking shit\\\", It\\\'s about
looking out for each other as homies and friends so we don\\\'t have to jack shit!
~ It\\\'s about
relieving the stress of the day, week, hour, whatever, and not stressing about the next day. It\\\'s about the
moment and how that
moment can become an amazing memory. So what it’s 2 AM? We may not can
buy a beer anymore but we can go to the Pancake House
and get some pancakes for the ride back
home, or we can go to the river and fall asleep with the sunrise, or we can go to the top of . . .

breakdown of the brings and don’t brings.]
~ Don’t be an asshole
~ Harassment *WILL NOT* be

~ You are to be responsible AND accountable for yourself
~ Stay behind the ride leader
unless instructed otherwise
~ Call out turns, potholes, cracks, hazards, cars, riders falling back, etc.
~ WE ARE A NO DROP, NO BULLSHIT RIDE!!!!!!!!!!
CALLS TO LISTEN FOR:
These
are some basic calls to make yourself aware of. You will probably hear these on group rides.
RIDA
BACK!!!!!!!---- This means to stop and wait or else SLOW THE FUCK DOWN! We know you wanna smash but
not everyone has
your fancy bike or the skills to go as fast as you. Let\\\'s keep it a tight group and
prevent getting people lost. This also helps us have less
traffic issues.
KEEP IT TURTLE!!!---
- Go SLOW!!! Like a turtle or snail pace. No, Slower.
FLAAAATTTTTT (FLAT!!!!!!)---- This means a
rider has a flat tire, or maybe another mechanical issue. PLEASE STOP quickly, when it is
the safest and
easiest to do so. We will be back on the road shortly.
BOTTLENECK!!!---- The ride is being made to
bunch up and squeeze through a portion of the route. This means you will probably have to
slow down,
and might have to make room for other riders to get through the shrunk portion of the roadway or route.
STOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!---- Just stop is all you gotta do. that simple! (also listen for the Slowing! call).
SLOWWIIIINNGGG!!!!--- Slow down and watch out, you may need to stop soon, or there may be a
bottleneck or hazard ahead.
ROLLING!!!---- Means that we are back in the saddle and riding. We
call this sometimes to alert you that we are rolling an intersection
where we would usually stop (if it is
clear, also known as the ‘Idaho Stop’) or when we are leaving the meet spot or store stop.
CLEAR!!!!---- Means that there is no traffic about to cross in front of us, coming towards us, or in our pathway; It
is clear. Like ‘Rolling’ call,
but more specific to ‘Idaho Stop’ situations or limited visability.
CAR BACK!!!---- There is a car behind us, Move to the right so they can pass and we will not be impeding
traffic. Also listen for STAY
RIGHT!!! (or left).
CAR RIGHT!!!!--- Watch out on your right hand
side, there is a dangerous rolling cage there.
CAR LEFT!!!!---- Same as car right, just that this car
is on the left.
DOOOOOOORRRRRR!!!!! (DOOR)!!!!!! Watch out for the car door that is opening up
ahead. Usually involves a parked car.
HOLE!!!!!---- Watch for holes around wherever you heard the
call from. If you are calling this, point towards the portion of the road or path
with the hole if safe to do so.
If you do go through the hole, you may regret it.
